Maryland Pool Replacement

This particular park opened in 1921, and served as the site of the annual Emancipation Day Celebration until 1933.  The first Columbus public pool was constructed on the site in 1929 and was the Center of Eastside Social and Recreation Activities.

 

The water surface area shall be 9,400 SF and will consist of two zero entry water areas. The first zone for younger children will contain a water feature and a   barrier from deeper water.  The second zone for older children will contain a climbable play unit with water depths down to 3 ½ feet.

Play structures will include tipping buckets, slides, interactive features, a 6-lane lap-pool, and a dive pool

 

The bather capacity shall be 576 people, although a little over 700 may be on the grounds at one time. (Some leisurely on deck and others in the pool)
