Gateway Health and Wellness Center

Columbus, Ohio

< BACK TO COMMUNITY WORK

The Problem: The demand for affordable health and wellness services for King-Lincoln District residents far outweighed the available resources.

The Solution: The Gateway Health & Wellness Center (GHWC), a 26,000-square-foot annex to the historic St. Paul A.M.E. Church. GHWC’s goal is to connect people with affordable health care and educate them about leading a healthy lifestyle by housing medical, dental and counseling services, and work force development and self-empowerment organizations. In addition, civic groups will have access to classrooms and a multi-purpose banquet room at the Center.

The Community Property Development Corporation (CPDC), a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization affiliated with St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, is the developer of the Gateway Health & Wellness Center. The CPDC is comprised of experienced business, community and religious leaders.
