The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority is studying the merits of building a West Side bus hub in the Warehouse District, facing West Superior Avenue between West Third and West Sixth streets.

 

Buses would enter from West Superior and leave on West Third Street. The site could feature a residential tower over street-level retail on West Sixth; midrise residential development along Frankfort Avenue, the site's northern border; and a multilevel parking garage, with hundreds of spaces, over the bus bays.

 

The study "is expected to show that the project can co-exist and complement a larger mixed-use development. The development must have "architecturally significant" features to complement development in the area.
